It’s fun to think we all could name a plant or bug in the tradition of being descriptive in the process.

When I saw this little fellow, it became dragon’s head fern in my mind. And if it isn’t, it should be – as a non-botanist, I’ll get away with not even looking up it’s official name.

Let me know if you have your personal nicknames for plants.
