I may be the last person to realise two things about foxglove flowers: the spots within their trumpets appear to be unique to the plant and tiny little hair line their opening.

Nevermind, it was wonderful detail to spend some minutes musing over while I walked among the Cornish hedgerows today.

And I can’t help sharing the picture below: a foxglove entwined in a weed (perhaps Woody Nightshade?) with glossy heart-shaped leaves…
