Stop. Look. See!
That’s been my take on local lockdown walks with my dog T’isker, even though they are quite energetic.

The shape of this hedgerow flower, normally blurred by 30 mph and a car window, allowed me to identify this for the first time: this is Linaria vulgaris, the Common Toadflax. Good for a variety of bees, I’ll introduce it to the wild flower meadow that I will sow around my new wildlife pond this autumn.
